Henslow Fellowships

The Society regularly sponsors three-year Research Fellowships, “Henslow Fellowships”, in the fields of Natural Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science and Clinical Sciences. The Henslow Fellowships are awarded to selected colleges to augment research fellowship provision within Colleges, rather than to substitute for existing schemes.

Research Studentships

The Cambridge Philosophical Society has a fund for the award of studentships or grants for research in the natural sciences or any branch of technology or mathematics.

Travel Grants

The Society will consider applications from Fellows for a limited number of grants for travel within and outside the United Kingdom to attend conferences and visit laboratories.

Prize Winners

The Society is always looking for ways to help further the work of today’s scientists and it awards a number of prizes for new publications, inventions, investigations or discoveries in the fields of mathematics, physics and the natural sciences. Awards given are the Sir Isaac Newton Bursary, the William Bate Hardy Prize and the William Hopkins Prize.
